McColl, Kay Rosemary “Kate”

Died Peacefully at Christchurch Public Hospital on Sunday, July 12, with many friends having shared her last hours.

She was the youngest sibling of Innes and Elizabeth McColl of Sawyers Bay, Keith and Nina McColl of Christchurch, Ali Bowen of Geraldine, and joyful eccentric aunt to Amy, Georgina, Emma, Adam, and Cameron, along with their families.

Thanks is extended to all her many friends and neighbours, along with the caring staff of Essie Summers Rest Home who have been care and love personified.

In keeping with Kate’s wishes a private cremation has been held with a celebration of Kate’s life to be held at 4a Herbs Place, Cashmere, Christchurch, on Saturday July 18 at 2pm.

Lifelong friend, Diana Manson will be transporting the ashes to Hawea to be scattered in a place very special to Kate.
